The Celebratory Tradition of Cider Cheers

Tradition Snapshot:

A warm, clinking pause in the middle of the season—best enjoyed with mismatched mugs and cinnamon steam.

Recommended Timeframe:

Once each fall, ideally at the start of sweater weather.

There’s something about the first truly crisp day—the one that nudges us toward blankets and boots, that makes the air smell like apples and wood smoke. That’s when we gather.

Cider Cheers aren’t about ceremony. They’re about warmth. About pouring something spiced and golden into a favorite mug, passing them around, and saying “cheers” to the season, to each other, to being here.

Sometimes we add cinnamon sticks. Sometimes we just sip and smile. But always, we pause. We clink. We feel the moment settle around us like a soft quilt.

This tradition asks for five minutes and a little bit of cider. And in return, it gives us a memory that tastes like fall.
